The Things I Could Have Said

“The Things I Could Have Said” is a captivating and multifaceted collection of art that navigates through diverse poetic landscapes, that gracefully transition from tender declarations of love to thought-provoking verses addressing crucial issues, like social justice, all while delving intimately into the complexities of my life as a black man in America. Woven within these evocative verses are poignant short essays drawn from my academic journey at UNC-Greensboro, where I pursued a master’s degree in studio art. This book transcends the confines of mere words, allowing readers to peer into my artistic soul through an array of sketches, photographs, and paintings that trace the evolution of my artistic career. “The Things I Could Have Said” refuses to conform to conventional structures, opting for a fluid, chapter-less approach that mirrors the uncharted course of my life.
